SDDGM recently granted the Transparency Key from GuideStar™ India (by Candid), the world’s largest database of nonprofit organizations. A Transparency Seal status is the leading symbol of nonprofit transparency and accountability. GuideStar Number (GSN): 13491
The Mandal is also pleased to announce the successful addition to the NITI Aayog’s NGO Darpan database. The Darpan ID (DL/2022/0319498) now paves the way for the Mandal to apply for grants under various schemes of Ministries, Departments and multiple government bodies of India.
The Transparency Key means the Mandal has published authenticated information about our goals, strategies, and vision. Second, the Mandal is dedicated to providing current and potential donors with accurate and in-depth knowledge about the many ways we are responsibly advancing our mission and vision with all donations we receive.
Having published our goals and objectives allows donors to determine where to donate money. The elements provided by each nonprofit may include:
- Verification of registration with the Income Tax and Societies Registry
- Financial data: Annual Revenue and Expenses, including ITR Forms and independent audit reports
- Impact Summary
- Mission Objectives
The nonprofit can then use this information to encourage prospective donors to determine who should get their money. Most facts are free to verify on the Mandal’s Guidestar™ page, while additional information and downloadable data are available on request.
Transparency Seal and Darpan ID focus on the charity’s obligation and willingness to expose its business practices to the public and their responsiveness in answering questions about those practices.
